I think Soulfilms is right. I do move around my video camera and tripod quite a bit...and the two together probably weigh 30-40 pounds.

There is a way to fix it, but it requires extra effort. I don't usually do it beacue I beat the **** out of my clothes anyway so it will not help.
Most cloth/sewing stores sell an iron-on patch thing that you can put on the inside. That helps to reduce the stress somewhat and increases the life of the material.

but another observation....
mens clothing holds up way longer than womens...

prolly cuz companies know women prefer to spend
money on clothing... so they do them a favor and
make them last a few washings.

denim is a most durable material!

it all depends on what you do with them.

when i was in primary school, it didn't matter what i did, i could never make a hole or something in my sneakers (so i'd get new ones). i had to outgrow them to get new ones.

between (more specifically) mens jeans and womens jeans.

the past 2 years i have conducted a series of
tests between various materials and how they
withstood day-to-day wear in accordance to male/female.

one notation:

mens levis withstood more wear than womens

womens khakis withstood more wear than mens
